Local Students Speak Out!

On December 9, Dr. Tony Bennett addressed the Leadership Southern Indiana Breakfast Series.  That day, 22 students from five local high school attended the event, compliments of Interfaith Community Council.  They gathered after the event to discuss Dr. Bennett’s reform agenda.  Review the LSI Breakfast Series Student Open Discussion Notes!

What is Leadership Southern Indiana (LSI)?

Leadership Southern Indiana is the oldest non-profit leadership program in Southern Indiana that structures opportunities for residents to learn more about their community, meet its people and leaders, identify ways to improve the community’s services and effectiveness, and hone the skills that equip each of us to make those improvements happen.

Through Class Days that each focus on a topic, Leadership Southern Indiana creates experiences and relationships for people so they, in turn, can share the information, contacts, skills, and motivations with others around them…at home, on the job, in civic groups, and among friends.

Benefits of membership:

Membership in LSI provides a wealth of social networking, leadership development and community involvement opportunities. Since 1981 LSI has had 800+ community leaders participate in the program.

Membership in LSI also provides exclusive access to the website directory of current and former members, regularly scheduled alumni events and our popular Breakfast Series. Other benefits include quarterly newsletters, invitations to all LSI events and a variety of involvement opportunities at community events.

Apply to Leadership Southern Indiana (LSI)?

Each Spring the public is invited to apply for the new LSI class. Individuals are selected to represent diversity in age, gender, county, career and ethnic diversity.

Next class will begin in Summer 2010. Applications will be available in Spring 2010.
